Terms of service

Last updated: July 2026

1. The service

Hitherway provides an online tool for creating, exporting, and embedding service area maps (the “Service”). The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We may modify or discontinue features at any time.

2. Your maps

You own the maps you create. Maps made with the free tier may be used for any lawful purpose, including commercial use, provided exported images retain the Hitherway watermark and embeds retain the “Built with Hitherway” badge. Pro removes these requirements. Underlying geographic boundary data is derived from US Census data and remains in the public domain.

3. Hitherway Pro

  • Pro is a one-time purchase granting a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Pro features.
  • Pro is attached to the authenticated customer account and may be used across the customer's devices.
  • Pro includes up to ten active saved maps. Duplicate maps count toward that limit.
  • Hosted maps remain available while the Hitherway service operates. The one-time purchase does not promise perpetual infrastructure availability.
  • Older license keys may be claimed once and may not be shared, published, resold, or attached to multiple accounts.
  • Pro includes a 14-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase. Contact us to request a refund.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for anything unlawful, deceptive, or harmful;
  • Misrepresent geographic coverage in a way that defrauds consumers;
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service beyond what is needed for ordinary use;
  • Remove or obscure watermarks or badges on the free tier by technical means.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hitherway and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost profits or lost business — arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $0 if you have not paid).

6. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page; continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
